KABUL (Pajhwok): The prices of gold jumped while the rates of fuel decreased during the outgoing week in Kabul, market sources said on Thursday.

Mohammad Sharif, a retailer in Taimani neighbourhood, said one kilogram of gas accounted for 65afs, coming down by five afs from last week’s rate of 70afs.
He linked the decline to more imports and lower fuel prices in the international markets. The price of firewood also fell.
Firewood seller Khan Mohammad told Pajhwok Afghan News per 560kg of peeled oak counted for 6,800afs, compared with 6,500afs last week.
Arabian gold rates were stable, but the Iranian variety grew in value. Mohammad Fawad, a jeweller in Kabul, said the price of one gram of Iranian gold increased from 1,650afs to 1,700afs.
