JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Two persons were killed and three others wounded in twin blasts on Jalalabad-Torkham Highway on Sunday, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said in a statement.
A military officer was killed and three other injured when their vehicle hit by a roadside bomb in Jalalabad city at around 9:00 am today, the statement said.
Ahmad Zia Abdulzai, the governor’s spokesman, said that the second blast also occurred at the same place. The second explosion also occurred due to a magnetic bomb in which one civilian died.
Elsewhere, a powerful blast took place in front of the house of a tribal elder in Behsud district but caused no casualties.
