MAZAR-E-SHARIF (Pajhwok): Two civilians were wounded when a suicide bomber rammed his explosive-laden motorbike into a police vehicle in Hairatan Port town in northern Balkh province on Sunday, police said.
Col. Abdul Razziq Qadari, a senior police official, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the bomber hit a vehicle of border police but police officials remained unhurt.
The blast completely damaged the police vehicle. An eyewitness said three policemen were killed in the attack but Qadari rejected the claim of police casualties.
Taliban have not yet commented on the incident.
