KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): Two Afghan Local Police (ALP) commanders, one civilian and four Taliban Sahib district of northern Kunduz province, an official said Saturday.
The ALP officials and a civilian were killed in the overnight ambush by militants in the Saki locality, Amanuddin Qureshi, the district administrative chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The fighting lasted for half an hour that left another ALP official wounded, he added.
Col. Mohammad AmanI brihim, the district police chief, confirmed the clash. He said the face-off erupted Friday evening in the same locality between security forces and the rebels. He said two militants killed and as many injured in the shootout.
Taliban have not yet spoken on the incident.
