KABUL national cricket team on Saturday left for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to play four one-day international matches there, an official said.
The national cricket team is scheduled to take part in two one-day international matches against Scotland and as many against Ireland, spokesman of the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Farid Hotak said the matches were scheduled on 8th, 10th, 14th and 17th January, adding that the national team was well prepared to face the rivals.
ACB Chairman Nasimullah Danish said the national team would demonstrate extra-ordinary performance in the coming World Cup. The players are confidant and have preparations for the mega event which will be held in early February in Australia, he added.
