2 held; huge arms cache seized in Nangarhar (Video)

JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Police in eastern Nangarhar province claimed arresting two alleged smugglers and seizing heavy and light weapons being smuggled to capital Kabul, an official said Sunday.

The weapons were recovered from a car at the Daronta check-post of Srah Road district, Police Chief Fazal Ahmad Sherzad told Pajhwok Afghan News.

Separately, another person was detained along with two pistols at the same check post. He was heading toward Kabul.

Meanwhile, security forces have started clearing operation in different areas of Batikot district to purge the locality of militants.
