Key Taliban figures dead in Logar drone strike

PUL-E-ALAM (Pajhwok): Three militants including two key commanders were killed during a US drone attack in central Logar province on Wednesday, an official said.

The drone targeted a car carrying militants in Dilawar village of Baraki-Barak district in the morning, the district chief told Pajhwok Afghan News.

Eng. Rahim Amin said two militants’ commanders Rahmatullah and Mujeeb-u-Rrahman and a third unidentified rebel were killed in the assault by unmanned aircraft.

The slain militants were heading a 40-members rebel group and were involved in high-profile attack on government installations.

Taliban have not yet commented on the attack.
