KABUL (Pajhwok): Some members of the Wolesi Jirga — lower house of the parliament — on Monday donated their 10 days salary to families of martyred and wounded security officials.
The lower house established a special fund to help relatives of slain and injured security personnel. At least 10 MPs, including two women, wore security uniforms, to express solidarity with the armed forces.
Farkhanda Zahra Naderi, a lawmaker from Kabul, presented a resolution that was unanimously approved by the lower house. The resolution urged the government to draw a line of distinction between the enemies and friends of Afghanistan.
It said the perpetrators of terrorist activities could neither be called brothers nor political opponents. The resolution urged the government to acknowledge sacrifices of security officials for defending their motherland.
