GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Four women and a child were among eight civilians killed on Tuesday when a roadside bomb tore through a passenger coach in the Gilan district of southern Ghazni province, police said.
Another two people sustained injuries in the blast that took place in Wocha Qala area on a road between Gilan and Jaghori districts in the afternoon, Ghazni deputy police chief Col. Asadullah Insafi told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Insafi accused the Taliban of emplacing the improvised explosive device that ripped through the passenger flying-coach, killing four women, a child and three men.
A resident of the area, Gul Habib, told Pajhwok Afghan News villagers and police evacuated the injured to a health facility in Jaghori district. The Taliban have not commented on the blast so far.
