2 gangs of kidnappers busted in Kunduz: Governor

KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): Security officials on Saturday claimed detaining two groups of kidnappers in northern Kunduz province.

Security forces also rescued two children from abductors’ captivity. The gangsters were arrested based on a tip-off from the National Directorate of Security (NDS).

Governor Mohammad Umar Safi that the detained individuals had links with mafia groups. He added 124 incidents of kidnapping took in the province this year.

Earlier, the resident of Kunduz held rallies against growing insecurity in the province.
