The 15-man Afghan side left Kabul for Australia on Friday to make their debut in the mega event, commencing from Feb. 14 in Australia and New Zealand.
Afghanistan Cricket Board spokesman Farid Hotak told Pajhwok Afghan News the 50-over game with Western District Club was played in Adelaide, the capital of South Australia.
The club batted first and set Afghanistan a 212 runs target after playing all overs for the loss of nine wickets.
Hamid Hassan, Dawlat Zadran, Shahpur Zadran and Aftab Alam clinched two wickets each and Samiullah Shinwari one.
Hotak said the national side chased the target in the 48th over and won the game by five wickets, with Nawroz Mangal contributing 72 runs.
Asghar Stanikzai made 40 runs, Osman Ghani 30, Mohammad Nabi 20 and Najibullah Zadran 19. Mangal was the man of the match.
Afghanistan will face Bangladesh in their opening Word Cup match at Manuka Oval, Canberra on Feb 18.
They will play against Sri Lank on Feb 22, Scotland on Feb 26, Australia on March 4, New Zealand on March 8 and England on March 13.
