Taliban kill 7 ISIS fighters in Zabul clash

QALAT (Pajhwok): At least seven Islamic State members have been killed during a clash with Taliban in Arghandab district of southern Zabul province, an official said Thursday.

Maj. Gen. Wasif Shah, the 205th Attal Military Corps commander, told Pajhwok Afghan News that nature of the dispute could not be ascertained but firefight between the two dreaded groups led to the killings of IS members.

However, Taliban have not yet commented on the clash.

On Wednesday, security officials said that 48 insurgents most of them foreigners were killed during an operation launched in Khak Afghan district of Zabul.

Abdul Hameed, a military official, had said that a Kyrgyz female rebel was wounded and arrested by security forces in the operation.
