KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): The Spinzar Entrepreneur, a private company operating in four northern provinces, on Saturday alleged over 1,000 acres of its land had been grabbed.
Mohammadullah Wardak, the company head, told Pajhwok Afghan News that they owned more than 3,000 acres of land in Kunduz, Takhar, Badakhshan and Baghlan provinces.
But the government distributed more than 1,000 acres to farmers, some of whom had claimed ownership and were not ready to vacate the land, he alleged.
Wardak did not name the grabbers, but said one individual had built 380 houses on the company’s land in Imam Sahib district of Kunduz province.
He added the individuals had been asked not to return the land on the ground that the government would eventually change and they would become owners.
Police spokesman Syed Sarwar Hussaini said they had not received any formal complaint from the Spinzar Entrepreneur with regard to the land ownership.
