ZARANJ (Pajhwok): Three policemen were killed in a rocket strike by Taliban in the Dilaram district of southwestern Nimroz province on Monday afternoon.
A local security official confided to Pajhwok Afghan News the policemen were part of a patrol that came under attack on its way to the Gulistan district of Farah.
One police officer and two constables were killed in the attack, which destroyed their Ranger pick-up, the source said, adding the assailants managed to escape.
But Taliban spokesman Qari Yousaf Ahmadi claimed policemen and Dilaram district deputy intelligence chief Najibullah had been killed in strike.
