MAZAR-E-SHARIF (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen shot dead an official of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) in Mazar-e-Sharif, the capital of northern Balkh province, police said Monday.
Abdul Razaq Qadari, provincial police chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News that Aziz Ghani, the slain official, was a close relative of Balkh governor. Ghani worked in protocol department at the MoFA.
Ghani 27 was killed late Sunday evening in Mazar-e-Sharif while he was going in his car. Police had started investigations, he said.
Also two days back, unidentified gunmen shot dead brother of Mohammad Khan, member of provincial council, in Balkh.
