Kabul exhibition attracts thousands of visitors

KABUL Investment Support Agency (AISA) said on Thursday over 1,000 families and foreigners visited a four-day exhibition of locally-manufactured products in the capital Kabul.

President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani inaugurated the exhibition on Tuesday where different brands of domestic products were put on display.

Ahmed Wali Majidyar, a senior AISA official, said that the first day of exhibition was only reserved for government officials, ambassadors and civil society workers.

The exhibition played important role to promote national products, he said, adding that AISA was planning to have an exhibition in near future in Mazar-i-Sharif in Balkh.  Over 120 companies have stalls in the exhibition.

Qurban Ali Jamshedzada, a carpet dealer, said such exhibitions played pivotal role to promote local products as he had sold different products in last two days. “I demanded government should arrange such exhibitions. I have sold a carpet worth $1,000 during the exhibition”, he noted.
