JALAL ABAD (Pajhwok): Afghan Local Police (ALP) commander was killed in an ambush by militants on Thursday in the Batikot district of eastern Nangarhar province, the governor’s spokesman said.
Ahmed Zai Abdulzai, Abidzai said two civilians also wounded in the attack who were evacuated to a local hospital but they were said to be in stable condition.
However, militants have not yet commented on the incident. The ALP personnel had been recently deployed to several districts of the province.
