KABUL (Pajhwok): Some lower house members on Monday asked the government to replace acting governors because their presence had increased insecurity.
The unity government since its formation in September has so far appointed governors of only three provinces with the rest being run by acting governors.
An official on Monday told Pajhwok Afghan News the government had appointed new governors for western Heart and southern Kandahar province as well as the Independent Directorate of Local Governance head.
