KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): The Kandahar police chief on Sunday urged the unity government not to sacrifice the country at the cost of achieving peace.
Gen. Abdul Raziq was addressing a gathering held in honour of the newly-appointed governor of southern Kandahar province at the governor’s house in Kandahar City, the provincial capital.
Chief Executive Officer Abdullah Abdullah, Independent Directorate of Local Governance (IDLG) officials, Wolesi Jirga members from Kandahar, tribal elders, influential figures and dozens of civil and military officials attended the gathering.
