HERAT (Pajhwok): A prisoner hanged himself to death in a jail in western Herat, an official said on Saturday.
Gul Ahmad Ramish, Herat attorney general, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the prisoner who committed suicide hailed from Shindhand district who was experiencing his 12 years jail term.
Ramish said that the prisoner spent two years in jail and requested jail authority to allot him a separate room in jail. He hanged himself with his handkerchief on Friday since none of his family members or relative had visited him in jail for the last two years . . .
