Afghanistan Cricket-A team rout Sari Lanka

KABUL’s cricket-A team won a thrilling 4-day match against Sari Lanka on Monday, an official said.

Farid Hotak, spokesman of Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB), told Pajhwok Afghan News the match was played in Colombo, the capital of Sari Lanka.  Afghanistan team scored 234 in first inning while Hashmat scored 95 runs.

Sari Lanka-A team managed to score 266 runs in its first innings. Afghanistan, in second innings, scored 125 runs and set 156 runs target for Sari Lanka to chase while the entire Sari Lankan team was bowled out on 113 in their second innings.

Hotak said Shabir Noori took 11 wickets, Hamza Hotak got seven while Sherzad got nine wickets each in both innings. Shabir Noori received man of the match award for his brilliant bowling in both innings.

Afghanistan has already beaten Sari Lanka in its first 4-day match.
