KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan beat Nepal by 10 wickets in their second match of the ACC Under-19 Premier played in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Saturday.
Six teams from Asian nations are participating in the tournament that got underway in Malaysia on Friday.
Afghanistan Cricket Board spokesman Farid Hotak told Pajhwok Afghan New the Afghanistan under-19 side played their second match of the tournament against Nepal.
Nepal batted first after winning the toss and set Afghanistan 124 runs target off 48 overs for the loss of all wickets in the 50 overs game.
For Afgahnistan, Zia Rahman and Parwaiz Malakzai clinched three wickets each while Nawinul Haq bagged two wickets and Karim Janat one.
Hotak said Afghanistan easily chased the target in the 25th over without losing any wicket.
It was Afghanistan’s second victory. In their first match, Afghanistan defeated Kuwait.
At Saturday’s match against Nepal, opener Hazratullah made quick fire 68 runs including three impressive sixes and six fours while Nasir Khan contributed 58 runs.
Earlier, Nepal’s Sunil Dhamala top scored with 46 runs and Yogendra Singh Karki 20 runs. Prem Tamang contributed 20 runs and Dipendra Singh Airee scored 10 runs. Other batsmen failed to score in double digits.

Nepal will play their third match against hosts Malaysia on Monday.
Besides Afghanistan and the hosts Malaysia, Nepal, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Kuwait under-19 teams are taking part in the tournament.
Afghanistan will face Saudi Arabia in their third match.
