KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): Hundreds of residents on Thursday gathered outside the governor’s office in northern Kunduz province, urging the government to send Gen. Abdul Rashid Dostum to the province to lead anti-insurgent operations.
Dostum, the first vice-president, last month travelled to northern Faryab province with 2000 security forces, clearing Qaisar and Almar districts of insurgents.
Recently returned to Kabul Omar’s son, to join the peace process or face defeat.
