Wardak man throttles wife to death

MAIDAN WARDAK (Pajhwok): A 20-year old woman was throttled to death by her spouse on Thursday evening in the central province of Maidan Wardak, an official said.

The incident took place in Awalkhel area of Narkh district shortly after 6pm, when Noor Rahman allegedly put his hands on wife, Shakeela, throat.

The perpetrator was arrested by security officials who had launched an investigation to know what flew Rahman into a rage, he said.
