JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Provincial Council (PC) member Iftikhar Momand escaped unhurt in an explosion in eastern Nangarhar province on Thursday, an official said.
The attack on Momand’s vehicle took place at 9:00am in the Shah Burhan area of Behsud district, police spokesman Hazrat Hussain Mashriqiwal told Pajhwok Afghan News. One of his guards sustained injuries in the bombing.
The public representative said his vehicle struck the roadside bomb on his way Goshta district from Jalalabad, the provincial capital. There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
