MAIMANA/ZARANJ (Pajhwok): A woman in northwestern Faryab province shot dead a man who wanted to rape her, while an old man was killed and his son wounded as a result of an explosion in southwestern Nimroz province, officials said on Monday.
Halima, 30, resident of Garziwan district, said two men knocked at her door late Monday night and introduced themselves as her relatives. Subsequently, she opened the door to let them in.
The men wanted to sexually assault her, according to Halima, who shot one of them dead and another injured with a pistol . . .
