FAIZABAD (Pajhwok): Monday’s massive earthquake killed at least 12 people, injured dozens and damaged more than 1,400 houses in northeastern Badakhshan and northern Baghlan provinces, officials said on Tuesday.
The 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck at 1:39pm local time in Kabul and its epicenter was Jurm district of Badakhshan province.
Badakhshan officials said more than a thousand houses were damaged in the quake, leaving 12 people dead and another 24 wounded.
