SHIBERGHAN (Pajhwok): A convoy of vehicles carrying aid including food and cement for earthquake survivors from Turkmenistan on Thursday reached northern Jawzjan province via Aaqina dry port, officials said.
The 7.5 magnitude quake killed 115 people and injured 556 in nine Afghan provinces, damaging 7630 houses, 20 Masajid and nine government buildings on Monday, according to Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority (ANDMA) officials.
The aid convoy from Turkmenistan carried 120 tonnes of flour and 120 tonnes of cement for distribution to affected families in neighbouring Balkh . . .
