The clash erupted in the morning when Taliban militants attacked Afghan local police (ALP) checkpoints at around 3:30am in Khak Yarak area, Ghor police chief Ghulam Mustafa Muhsini told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He said three insurgents were killed and their three Kalashnikovs and as many motorbikes seized by the security forces, he said at 12pm. The Afghan forces have so far suffered no casualties, he said.
