PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): Protestors demanding the transfer of northern Baghlan province’s capital to Baghlan-i-Markazi district on Thursday blocked the Baghlan-Kunduz highway, provoking the anger of commuters.
Around 200 people blocked the highway in Parchawah area of Baghlan-i-Markazi district at 11:00am.
Arbab Farmoz, one of the protestors and member of the district council, said the government should transfer the governor’s house to the Baghlan-i-Markazi district.
He said the capital of Baghlan had been in Baghlan-i-Markazi district the past and its residents . . .
