TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): Some residents of Chora district of central Uruzgan province complain the district chief takes illegal money from them for shifting firewood from their own land.
“The district chief takes money from every vehicle, if a driver denies, his vehicle is stopped until he pays the illegal tax,” a resident of the district, Wali Mohammad, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
“I supply wood from my own orchard and land to the city for sale due to poverty, but police confiscates the firewood and the district chief takes,” he said.
