KABUL (Pajhwok): National Security Advisor Hanif Atmar has said the Afghan forces have the ability to defend the country, but still they need international assistance in some spheres.
Atmar, who reached Brussels from New Delhi, held two meetings with NATO leaders, said Tawab Ghorzang, the National Security Council spokesman on Thursday.
He told Pajhwok Afghan News that Atmar held his first meeting with NATO secretary general Jens Stoltenberg and the two discussed Afghanistan’s latest security problems and the alliance’s future cooperation.
