HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): The body of a woman, who was allegedly shot dead by Iranian border guards, has been brought to western Herat province, relatives said on Thursday.
Bashir Ahmad, one of the slain woman’s relatives, told Pajhwok Afghan News the 22-year-old crossed the border into Iran along with three children, husband and a brother three days ago for going to Europe.
But Iranian border guards shot her near the border with Turkey. Her body would be shifted to Kabul, he said.
Brother of the dead woman, Alif, said all his families were seeking asylum in foreign counties due to several problems they faced in the country.
“The president, ministers and parliament members are responsible for her killing,” he said.
