MAIMANA (Pajhwok): A 20-year-old married woman on Thursday committed suicide due to what police said domestic violence in the capital of northern Faryab province.
The woman, who got married two years ago and left behind a six-month-old child, took her own life in the morning, the provincial crime branch police chief, Col. Sarbiland, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He said police had taken into custody the woman’s spouse who was being investigated.
