SHARANA (Pajhwok): Thousands of children could not be administered polio drops due to insecurity in southeastern Paktika province, residents said on Friday.
Syed Gul, a resident of Waza Khwa district, told Pajhwok Afghan News thousands of children were deprived of polio vaccination due recent violence in the district.
He said the roads connecting Waza Khwa, Terwa and Wor Mami districts with the provincial capital, Sharana, had been closed as a result of insecurity, thus preventing polio vaccination teams from visiting the districts.
