JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Tribal elders from the Shinwari districts of eastern Nangarhar province on Thursday inked an accord on ensuring peace and stability in their districts.
Dozens of local tribal elders announced signing the agreement at a gathering in Jalalabad. Malik Usman, a representative of the Shinwari tribe, asked outsiders and gunmen to leave the area.
Under the accord, he said, an individual found guilty of killing anyone would be fined one million afghanis. The fine for wounding a person was put at 500,000 afghanis.
The agreement says Shinwari tribespeople should snap links . . .
