LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): Five policemen were injured on Saturday when a suicide bomber on foot targeted a police convoy in the bazaar of Greshk district of southern Helmand province, an official said.
The blast took place at around 2:30pm when the bomber blew himself up against a convoy of vehicles carrying the Greshk police chief and some military officials, Helmand police spokesman Shah Mohammad Ashna told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He said the district police chief, Mohammad Ismail Khpalwak, was returning after visiting a site outside the district centre and came under attack as his convoy . . .
