PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): One hundred suspected militants have been detained over the past two months in the northern province of Baghlan, an official said on Wednesday.
During a visit to police checkpoints, Baghlan Governor Abdul Sattar Barez said: “No one, including me, is exempted from searches. Police can search even government vehicles and officials.”
“Nearly 100 suspects with links to the insurgents have been captured in the past less than two months,” he said, while praising searchoperations by police.
