SHARAN (Pajhwok): The newly appointed appellant court chief for southern Paktika province on Tuesday stressed the need for better protecting people’s rights with improved law enforcement.
Paktika Governor Aminullah Shariq introduced Abdul Tawab Mukhlis as provincial appellant court chief on Tuesday. Shariq hailed Mukhlis as an experienced, honest and qualified judge.
He urged Mukhlis to make hand down decisions confidently and ensure impartiality. “Our new judge should award punishment to criminals and wipe off tears of the oppressed.”
For his part, Mukhlis promised all his verdicts would be based on the law . . .
