FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): Two warring tribes on Tuesday reconciled in western Ghor province, ending a 40-year-old feud that has killed 300 people on both sides.
Living south of Ferozkoh, the provincial capital, the two tribes -- Raza and Meri – vowed to live in peace and brotherhood after their reconciliation.
The tribes reconciled as a result of efforts spanning three weeks by a 24-member jirga drawn from the two tribes and members of the Ghor Ulema Council, the provincial council, the provincial government and the police headquarters.
