Kunar revenue increases by 30pc, says official

ASADABAD (Pajhwok): The revenue department head for eastern Kunar province on Sunday said they had collected 30 percent more revenue this year than the target the Ministry of Finance had set for the province.

The ministry had set the provincial revenue department 159 million afghanis target in 2015 financial year ( From Dec. 22, 2014 to Dec. 21, 2015), while they collected 60 million more afghanis,showing a 30 percent increase, Abdul Ghafoor Nuristani told Pajhwok Afghan News.

They collected 229.6 million afs revenue in total and most of the returns incame come from the customs department, he said.
