JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Twenty Daesh, or so-called Islamic State (IS), fighters have been killed as a result of airstrikes by foreign troops in eastern Nangarahar province, an official said on Saturday.
Attaullah Khogyani, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the air raids were carried out at 11am in the Shabai Tangi area of Haska Mena district.
Key commanders of the group were among the 20 insurgents killed and their district chief, Maulvi Abas, was wounded, he said. Civilians suffered no casualties in the attacks.
