GARDEZ (Pajhwok): Residents of southeastern Paktia province on Wednesday said the Khost-Paktia road would damage soon if not properly maintained.
The 105-kilometre road was constructed at a cost of $232 million during a period of six years and was inaugurated on Dec. 16, 2015.
“The highway passes through mountainous areas which are vulnerable to floods which can damage the road,” a truck driver and resident, Zabit Khan, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He said some portions of the road had been damaged by floods and warned the road would vanish in few . . .
