KABUL cycling team has been recommended for the Nobel Peace Prize by nearly 120 Italian parliamentarians, a news report said on Saturday.
“A group of 118 Italian cross-party MPs have signed a petition nominating the Afghan Cycling Federation women's team for the Nobel Peace Prize,” reported Agenzia Giornalistica Italia (AGI).
Lawmaker from the leftist Democratic Party (PD) Ermete Realacci, who also heads the Environmental Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, organised the signature campaign for Afghan cyclists.
