GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Four militants, including a commander, have been killed and three others injured by their own bomb in the Andar district of southern Ghazni province, an official said on Thursday.
Andar district chief, Mohammad Qasim Desiwal, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the explosion took place inside a madrasa (seminary) in Mastufi area. The bomb they were making exploded, killing and wounding the rebels.
A Taliban commander named Badr and his three accomplices were killed and three others wounded in the incident. Civilians suffered no casualties in the blast. Police spokesmanFahim Amiriconfirmed the explosion and the casualties.
Jan Mohammad, a resident of the area, said they were informed about the death of Taliban commanderBadr. The madrasa building was also damaged in the blast. The guerrillas have not yet commented on the incident.
