QALA-I-NAW (Pajhwok): Family dispute and violence led to the murder of a woman in the Qadis district of northwestern Badghis province, an official said on Sunday.
Mirza Ali, the district’s administrative chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the woman was allegedly strangulated to death by her husband, who managed to flee the area.
According to Ali, government officials could not venture into the Taliban-controlled area to investigate the incident. Tribal elders would be asked to help probe the murder, he said.
