PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): The governor of northern Baghlan province on Thursday claimed security forces had captured the Dand-i-Ghori area and evicted Taliban militants during an ongoing operation.
Abdul Sattar Bariz told Pajhwok Afghan News in Dand-i-Ghori area on the outskirts of Pul-i-Khumri, the provincial capital, that the Taliban militants fled Dand-i-Ghori area last night and moved into the Chonghar mountains in Dehna Ghori district near the border with Samangan province.
