KABUL minister said the exam so far held in various provinces was more transparent this year.
“Transparency will regain people’s trust in the test,” Higher Education Minister Farida Momand told a press conference in Kabul.
She said a total of 200,000 students were to sit the exam this year nationwide, including more than 45,000 in Kabul where 8664 students among them 3607 females appeared in today’s exam.
Of the total 200,000 students nationwide, more than 58,000 successful candidates will go to higher education institutes and nearly 60,000 to semi-higher, she said.
She said the Kankor exam, so far conducted at 37 venues in 33 provinces, would be completed in Kabul over the next two weeks.
Momand said 156,000 students including 46,000 of them girls had participated in the exam in all provinces except Kabul. The results of the university entry test would be declared by April 3.
