JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Reserve police units may be created to ratchet up pressure on militants in the eastern zone, a Public Order Police commander said on Sunday.
Brig. Gen. Nasir Ahmad Safi, in an exclusive interview with Pajhwok Afghan News, said he was assessing his personnel and planned to create reserve units this year.
“We are currently in a defensive mode, but plan to adopt an offensive posture by creating reserve units in Kunar, Nuristan, Nangarhar and Laghman provinces,” he said.
