JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Four members of Daesh — or so-called Islamic State (IS) — were killed as a result of an operation in the eastern province of Nangarhar, an official said on Thursday.
The operation was conducted in the morning in the Shadal area of Achin district, killing four insurgents, the governor’s spokesman, Attaullah Khogyani, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
A heavy machinegun, some other weapons and ammunition were destroyed during the offensive, he said. Security forces or civilians suffered no casualties in the operation.
